I compared this side by side with similar products from Denon, Marantz, Onkyo, and Yamaha. While all sounded quite good, the pioneer matched best with my NHT speakers. The signal is perfectand it generates plenty of power. It will get quite loud especially if you are using speakers with a 90+ efficiency. The digital signals all worked perfectly, no hassles, including the HD audio from my bluray player. The remote works good as well, although the menu set up isnt the greatest. I take audio quality over this though any day, and this Pioneer delivers exactly what I need. Then clicked authorized internet dealers you would have seen the disclaimer denouncing that all Elite Pioneer products must be bought "in store" and not from an internet retailer and that Pioneer would not warranty any Elite receivers that were bought on line. The main reason your getting the receiver for the price your getting for is because you're purchasing from an unauthorized dealer. Now, as for Amazon not being able to help get your money back. That sounds weird because I've only had excellent customer service from Amazon whether it be me trying to get a refund or If I've ever had any kind of technical issues, they've been really good at helping me out. Now, I know this information is day late and a dollar short but if this helps anyone else in the future, so be it. I purchased this receiver from "Your Deal" though Amazon.Video will not work through HDMI. Tried to contact seller and they will not respond via e-mail, phone, etc. Contacted Pioneer and was told Amazon is not an authorized seller or distributor of Pioneer Elite Products. Now I am left holding the bag. Amazon will not respond to help me get my money back. |
