My wife surprised me with it for Christmas/Anniversary gift. Well, i have to say it better than I have ever expected. I was able to Bi-amp my speakers now and I have never heard and experienced audio quality like I have now. Not only is the audio quality second to none, the video quality is great. This unit has many features for making home theatre a piece of cake to setup. I highly recommend this unit for anyone looking for the best in a high end receiver. 2 of 3 people found the following review helpful  Pioneer Elite SC09-TX, August 21, 2011 This review is from: Pioneer Elite SC-09TX - AV network receiver - 10.2 channel [Electronics] (Electronics) I purchased this unit at the end of 2010. When playing BD movies, sometimes there would be no sound at the start. I had to turn the system off and restart for the sound to come though. So this required a firmware update. The only was to get an update was to remove the receiver from the system and take it to an authorized service center. Once I got the receiver back, the next problem I had was a very loud popping noise when playing certain movies and music cd's. At this time, I have not seen where Pioneer has issued a firmware update on this problem and customer service will not even admit a problem. The popping noise was so loud, I had to remove the receiver from my system. I could not recommend this unit to anybody and the support from Pioneer on this matter is poor, especially for the cost of a "flagship receiver".
